Our Services
During workplace disputations, as its primary option, AEA will always seek to restore harmony by returning the parties to rational discussions about the real issues. Quite often, emotions can spill over and cloud what really needs to be achieved when all the time, it just needed taking a deep breath and thinking about what’s best for all concerned, as it applies to the Fair Work Act, its rules and regulations. It all seems simple enough … however, if prudence cannot be achieved, then AEA can provide alternative sustainable solutions, in keeping with its range of services.
AEA provides high calibre services delivered by immensely experienced professionals:
negotiating enterprise agreements
An independent AEA chairman conducting the negotiation meetings is hugely beneficial to all parties around the table; keeping discussions aligned with the agenda, in a timely manner and ensuring that personalities do not take over.
Gary and James have frequently been engaged as expert advisors to groups that are required to negotiate with unions, employees and employers; additionally, as the advocates for those groups.
wages & conditions improvement
AEA ensures that when the relative awards pertaining to your workplace are amended, you are informed and the updates to wages, terms & conditions are appropriately addressed.
wages & superannuation underpayment
This task usually requires professional attention. Employees and employers would not necessarily be expected to be aware of the full extent of their underpayments under the Act and will therefore benefit from expert assessment of and assistance with their actual entitlements and obligations.

Having spent many years as the South Australian Employment Ombudsman providing advice and training to employers and employees, Gary Collis has developed a range of tailored and customised workplace training programs including:
Leadership Development | Performance Management Awareness | Team-work | First Aid. The programs provide awareness, education and tools in an interactive and vibrant manner.
All AEA training is adapted to each individual audience.
discrimination, bullying
& harassment
AEA conducts such matters in a manner that provides the same level of fairness to both the person lodging the complaint and the alleged perpetrator. Far too often, investigation activities focus on the complainant to the detriment of the party being investigated. Whilst it is a formal investigation, AEA conducts the interviews in a manner that equally provides for all parties to openly speak.
Gary Collis has received many endorsements from all parties acknowledging the calm, relaxed and thorough manner in difficult circumstances.
OHS&W
AEA can interpret or, review OHS/W policies & procedures. Clear direction is provided regarding compliance with OHS&W regulations.
unfair dismissal claims
AEA will always attempt to handle these matters without fuss. However, if an issue becomes protracted, then AEA has access to the skill, knowledge and experience to assist through the legal minefield of more formal proceedings.
WorkCover matters
AEA is experienced at conducting workplace audits on both the physical and mental wellbeing of individuals.
